Here's a picture of Honey Dijon - it was the first one, of twenty roses, to open this year.

It's been a weird summer, rose-wise. I'm learning a lot about the garden - I think I over-fertilized and used too strong a fungicide - so I have really huge bushes and no blackspot, but only a pretty good amount of blooms. Next year I'll do better! It really is quite a learning process. I sent off a soil sample to the Soil Testing Lab at UConn to see what else I can do (or stop doing!).
