Miniflora
Photo- Dave Candler
This is a bright pink, red, yellow miniflora rose that provides an amazing
amount of blooms. The photo above was taken on June 9, 2010 and is
representative of bloom production for most of the summer. There is a high
petal count, and the deep green foliage is quite disease resistant.
Hardy in Connecticut, and grows to 29 inches tall in my garden in
Southeastern CT with little winter protection. There are so many buds
on a stem that produces great sprays, suitable for cutting. Not easy
to disbud for single-bloom exhibition, and you will sacrifice soooo many
blooms! The form is good, but not excellent for exhibiting. The
blooms will often stay As Cut if kept cool when traveling to a show.
Generally will not progress and blow open en route.
Give the plant plenty of room (think floribunda space, not MF), since it is a big plant.
Produced by Robbie Tucker, and available from Rosemania.
